How to redirect urls from folder to subdomain

I moved my WP blog from

mydomain.com/blog
to
blog.mydomain.com

I am hoping that there is a way to use .htaccess (or something else) to redirect traffic from each of the old urls so that, for example:

http://1800insurancect.com/blog/2013/10/buying-on-the-connecticut-health-insurance-exchange-marketplace.htm

resolves to

http://blog.1800insurancect(dot)com/2013/10/buying-on-the-connecticut-health-insurance-exchange-marketplace.htm

Any help will be appreciated.
