As I have a number of users who keep forgetting their passwords, I wanted to add the ability to email users their password when they change it. My website is small, and I’m not ultra concerned with password security. I couldn’t find a plugin that would do this, but patching the code directly seems easy enough, even for someone like me who doesn’t know PHP. Problem is I don’t want to have to do it every time there’s an update. Is there a plugin that would let me semi-autonomously patch or modify the code of core files?
