After the customer confirms their purchase using Paypal Express, instead of redirecting to our “order-received” page the customer sees the following error:

I contacted Paypal for Woocommerce to ask them if their plugin makes any calls or modifications to pluggable.php/wp.mail() and they said that it was extremely unlikely.
After the transaction completes, all the emails send correctly and yet my customer sees the aforementioned error. For some reason our customer’s email is being swapped in and used as the “sender” email which of course is not verified.
