When Simple Membership is enabled other plugins do not work

Hello,

Using the latest versions of WP and plugins, Simple Membership seems to break other plugins. For example, Ninja Forms and UpdraftPlus Backup both report errors when Simple Membership is enabled.

Ninja Forms cannot submit any forms and Updraft Plus reports that there is a javascript of jquery error. If I disabled Simple Membership, both plugins begin to work again.

Can anyone recommend a way to troubleshoot this? At this point, Ninja Forms is pointing the finger at Simple Membership and I think they are correct since it’s also producing and error with UpdraftPlus.

With my limited knowledge of how to troubleshoot I was able to find that when trying to submit a Ninja Form with Simple Membership enabled, I get the following error in the console:

SyntaxError: JSON Parse error: Unrecognized token ‘<‘
parse
parseJSON — jquery.js:2639
parseJSON — jquery-migrate.min.js:2:3819
success — front-end.js:2:28666
i — jquery.js:1002
fireWith — jquery.js:1039:94
y — jquery.js:2858:593
c — jquery.js:3025

For reference, the exact error I am receiving in the UpdraftPlus preference pane is:
Warning: If you can still read these words after the page finishes loading, then there is a JavaScript or jQuery problem in the site. Go here for more information.

Thanks all!

Nick.
