Pretty new WP user here. I have a problem in that my custom login logo (implemented by the common functions.php and associated custom CSS file as per the codex) no longer displays. If I click where the logo should be, I see a blue border the correct size and the URL works, but it is as if the image is either transparent or blocked by the login page background. If I comment out the code in functions.php that invokes the custom CSS file, the WP log shows up fine.
I have tried jpg and png files to no avail. Also tried a couple custom login plugins – no joy there either. Changing themes doesn’t help either.
This used to work, and still does in a completely virgin WP install. All other login customizations (e.g. removing the back to blog link) work fine – the problem isn’t the custom CSS but apparently something has gotten pranged under the covers in WP.
I also tried disabling every plugin installed – no joy.
Can someone suggest what might do this and where to find it? I have a working virgin WP install I can copy CSS or PHP files from if necessary.
TIA for any ideas
