Contextual Related Posts text not formatting properly

I am trying to help a friend figure out a problem with Contextual Related Posts on his site.

The text is not anchoring to the bottom of the boxes with the thumbnails. Instead, the text is at the top of the box, many times getting cut off.

This problem started maybe a week ago, when I upgraded his site to WordPress 4.7.

I have tried clearing the plugin’s cache. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin. None of that worked. (Coincidentally, the same plugin is working just fine on my own website.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
